Each year on April 17th, the world celebrates Malbec World Day, an occasion that traces its roots back to 1853. On this day, the Provincial Legislature of Mendoza was presented with a proposal to establish a Quinta Normal and a School of Agriculture, marking the inception of Malbec's history in Mendoza. The day also honors the establishment of Argentina's first agronomy school, dedicated to the study of European grapes, including the prominent Malbec grape.
