Military Spouse Appreciation Day is a dedicated occasion for us to take a moment to acknowledge the significant influence of military spouses on our lives and within our military communities.

Originally recognized by President Ronald Reagan in 1984, this special day falls on the Friday in May before Mother's Day. It is customary for the current president to issue a proclamation in honor of the holiday, and celebrations take place on and near U.S. military bases globally.
