National Youth Day, also recognized as Vivekananda Jayanti, is commemorated on January 12th, marking the birth anniversary of the Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda. In 1984, the Government of India officially designated this day as National Youth Day, and since 1985, the event has been celebrated annually in the country.
