On June 7th, World Food Safety Day endeavors to raise awareness and stimulate action to prevent, detect, and manage risks associated with foodborne issues. This initiative contributes significantly to aspects such as food security, human health, economic prosperity, agriculture, market access, tourism, and sustainable development.

Jointly coordinated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), in collaboration with Member States and other pertinent organizations, World Food Safety Day provides a global platform to reinforce efforts aimed at ensuring the safety of the food we consume. The day serves as an opportunity to prioritize food safety on the public agenda and mitigate the global burden of foodborne diseases.
